Our Story

"We are a third Generation Northwest Florida dealership. My Grandfather was a John Deere tractor dealer in Baker, Florida. My Father, Gary E. Lee Sr. opened Lee Pontiac in 1949 on Eglin Parkway in Fort Walton Beach. With the help of my Dad, I was fortunate enough to grow our dealerships over my lifetime. Having divested out of our original dealerships to family members I opened John Lee Mazda in 2008 and shortly after opened John Lee Nissan in 2009 both here in Panama City, Florida. We are close to our ten-year anniversary in the Panama City market and are looking forward to future generations continuing our family-owned business into the future.

We treasure our customers who support our dealerships from all the surrounding communities here in Northwest Florida. Because of our strong relationship with Nissan Motors and Mazda Motors we are able to provide a wide range of products to serve a very large and diverse customer community. This includes many small businesses including all professional categories, our strong Medical community, Panama City's expanding Port Operations, restaurants, and hotels that support our ever-growing retirement, tourist, and entertainment industry along with our deeply rooted agricultural community. Lastly, our Military bases including Tyndall Air Force Base and the Naval Surface Warfare Center contribute greatly to us all.

Being a locally owned business, John Lee Mazda is a community-minded dealership. We support many worthwhile local charities and endeavors to create a better Bay County. We are always willing to help support any efforts to improve the quality of life and help those in need where ever those needs may exist.
